Why Health Insurance Matters

Health insurance plays a vital role in protecting both your health and your finances. It offers essential financial coverage for unexpected medical expenses, which can quickly become overwhelming without proper protection.

Without insurance, many individuals delay or avoid necessary care due to cost—often resulting in more serious health issues down the line. With coverage, however, you gain access to important services like preventive care, routine check-ups, and early detection of health concerns.

At THB, we understand that everyone's situation is unique. Whether you're exploring options for the first time or your eligibility has recently changed, we’re here to guide you.

You may now qualify for Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), or an Affordable Care Act (ACA) plan—especially if your income has changed.

Review Your Health Insurance policy Annually

Navigating health insurance options for you and your family can be overwhelming. And this year, it’s more important than ever—many plans are changing significantly for 2025, with new coverage details and potential cost increases. The good news? Transition Health Benefits makes reviewing and switching your policy simple and stress-free.

Preparing for Open Enrollment

To prepare for Open Enrollment think about how you used your insurance plan this year and how that may change in the year ahead.  Take into account any plan design changes your insurance carrier may have implemented. Consider too, if there have been any changes to the provider networks that your insurance company uses.  This can impact your costs both in terms of the monthly premium and also your potential out of pocket costs. New for 2025: All THB Clients now have a secure online portal you can update your information at anytime. Ask your agent for your secure portal link.

There are no special documents required to get started with Open Enrollment. However, if you or your family qualify for a tax credit or subsidy, you’ll need to have a good estimate of your Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) for the upcoming year. The Marketplace (HealthCare.gov) may also request proof of income as part of the application process.

We’re proud to share that THB has been nationally recognized by CMS as a Marketplace Champion in the 2025 Marketplace Circle of Champions.

We’ve achieved Elite status—a distinction awarded to agencies that successfully assist between 100 and 499 consumers per agent in enrolling in Marketplace coverage during Open Enrollment.

This recognition reflects our continued commitment to providing expert guidance and helping individuals and families access the coverage they need.
